WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING The role of a Mechanical Designer requires your use of acquired engineering skills to: design modifications and component substitutions in equipment as changes become necessary; supervise the incorporation of changes into drawings, tooling, and purchase specifications. Also, your interpersonal communication style is critical to your daily success, as you will be expected to develop working relationships with our Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Project Management, and IT departments and know how to communicate easily & collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment. A self-starter and problem-solver and an eye for detail, are an absolute must have, to effectively perform the following:
Coordinate with Production/Engineering departments to ensure the accuracy of all drawings and specifications before being released.
Work with multiple departments, shuffle deadlines and work under pressure
Evaluate system specifications and disseminate the information to management and other departments as necessary
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS POSITION
Ability to organize and manage time effectively while prioritizing workload ? Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to develop & communicate technical information
Must be able to work closely with manufacturing personnel, both inside and outside the company
Excellent engineering, as well as interpersonal, skills are essential.
