Packaging company in Crystal Lake is seeking an experiences sales representative / business developer to create and close opportunities in the Upper Midwest and parts of Canada.

Job Summary: Sales Representatives will sell in a consultative manner and develop relationships that represent the sometimes long sales cycle present in packaging sales. Sales duties include sampling, quoting, providing creative solutions to customer challenges, working with staff to increase efficiency in order production. As a member of the sales force, you must meet or exceed sales goals on quarterly and annual basis, and always represent the company values.

Sales Representative / Business Developer Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, prospect, qualify and close profitable new business opportunities and grow sales and profits in existing accounts.
  • Cold calling
  • Warm calling
  • Face to face visits
  • Meeting with suppliers and potential referral sources to help generate leads

 

Sales Representative / Business Developer Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas, developing relationships
  • Proven track record of sales success using cold calls, prospecting, territory development
  • Industrial or product type of sales
  • Rigid packaging experience
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills (including Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel via car and airplane

 

Compensation: $75,000 - 90,000 per year. This business developer position offers tier compensation: Base salary, commission, and increase on base. In addition heath benefits, IRA, and various additional corporate types of fringe benefits are offered.
