DISTRIBUTION CENTER LABORERS

Are you the one who moves the furniture around at home? At Ashley, moving furniture earns you a really great check. Join our team of distribution center laborers, and get a workout while you work!
These individuals may load or unload product from trailers and containers and transport finished goods between distribution center locations and loading/unloading areas. This team may operate and perform safety checks on powered industrial vehicles, use scanning equipment to locate product and ensure accurate inventory, move product by hand from to carts/pallets/plates, pick orders, and prepare goods for shipment.

The skilled professionals we select will manufacture furniture using hand tools, adhesives, jigs, fabrics, and other components; set up and use jigs to assemble component parts, inspect parts for defects, and make repairs; and inform personnel of non-conforming parts.
Requirements:

- Knowledge of a scanning system.
- Ability to obtain valid, company-issued vehicle licenses.
- Ability to push/pull/transport goods weighing up to 100 pounds, and manipulate loads weighing up to 250 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk 100percent of the time, as well as see/hear/speak/grasp/climb.

- Ability to learn basic computer systems and operate an inventory-scanning device.
- Ability to push/pull/transport goods weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk 75percent of the time, as well as see/hear/speak/grasp/climb.
