We are seeking an experienced Case Specialist for an Eye Care clinic in the Pelham, Al area. You will be representing an organization that helps parents and children in their process of obtaining eye care needs.

Pay for this position : $12.00 -$12.50 an hour depending in experience

 

Requirements:

  • Strong commitment to community service with a desire to make a difference in the lives of children
  • BA or BS strongly preferred
  • Minimum two year work experience, preferably in medical/healthcare setting
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and maintain complete confidentiality
  • Database experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs and database applications
  • Extreme attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Ability to interact and relate to a diverse population of children and school professionals
  • Communicates in a positive manner and with respect for others
  • Must have strong work ethic, positive attitude, and respect for others
  • Interest in technology and a willingness to be trained on basic technology troubleshooting
  • Possibly need to be able to lift and transport various medical equipment and supplies to events
  • Travel is required some events, including some overnight trips (transportation and travel accommodations are paid by company)
  • Ability to represent company in the utmost professional manner

Responsibilities:

  • Contact parents/guardians whose children have been referred for eye care follow-up from various referrals/sources
  • Educate parents about child’s failed vision screening
  • Help parents and guardians through the process of obtaining eye care for their children
  • Coordinate eye care for qualifying children
  • Arrange transportation to eye care services, when necessary
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all internal patient information
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Help coordinate and attend mobile eye clinics
  • Load the company vehicle with necessary equipment and supplies for these events
  • Set up medical equipment, supplies, and necessary technology at these events
  • Support the Check-In and Check-out Stations as necessary during these health screening events
  • Troubleshoot technology issues during the health screening events
  • Break down the event equipment and supplies at the end of the event and assist in transporting them back to the office or next event location
