Forklift Repair Fleet Mechanic

The Forklift Repair Fleet Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance activity on fork trucks and all other material handling related equipment.

Shift and Schedule
This is a full time permanent position. Must be flexible to start between the hours of 8am and 11am and work the scheduled shift duration. The shift duration is anywhere between 8 and 10 hours depending on the business needs.

Position Responsibilities

1. Perform heavy duty repair, preventative maintenance, and diagnosis of transmissions, brakes, engines, steering and electrical systems, and electronic and hydraulic components.
2. Safely use welding and cutting tools (Arc, Mig, and Gas).
3. Possess mechanical aptitude in the following areas, but not limited to: gas, diesel, electric and LP power systems.
4. Maintain compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
5. Input data accurately and in a timely manner in to DPS fleet maintenance software program (SAP EAM).

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• 3 years of experience in all aspects of forklift and material handling equipment repair and maintenance
• 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Must supply necessary tools to perform the job
• Valid driver’s license
