Burlington Stores, a leading retailer in the off-price market based in Burlington, NJ, is seeking an eLearning Instructional Designer to assist in the development of the company’s elearning curriculum and content. Work with a dedicated team in an innovative work environment to build quality digital learning for the entire organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and develop ecourses and curriculum
• Employ sound instructional methods to design, develop, and implement digital instructional materials
• Use authoring tools, audio capture tools, and publishing skills to produce content that is deployed via our learning management system (SuccessFactors)
• Create additional documentation such as workbooks, job aids, reference materials, and learning video scripts using technical writing principles
• Research new content and interview subject matter experts to assess and validate ecourse content
• Develop content outlines, storyboards, and scripts for selfpaced ecourses
• Identify, coordinate, and assemble multimedia assets for inclusion in ecourses
• Develop digital modules using Articulate e-Learning Suite and Captivate
• Stay current with digital learning trends and best practices
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Proven expertise with elearning development software
• Fundamental knowledge of adult learning principles
• Demonstrated proficiency in building engaging, effective online learning programs and tools
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to work with design software
• Proficient project management and organizational skills with the ability to function in a fastpaced environment, under time pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic knowledge of learning management systems. Knowledge of SuccessFactors is preferred.
Job Requirements
• Degree with a focus on instructional / elearning design or equivalent work experience
• Three years' experience in digital design experience using Articulate Presenter, Captivate, QuizMaker, Engage and/or Lectora
• Knowledge of audio capture/editing software
• Experience building successful relationships with internal clients
