About this job
Primary responsibility is to obtain new business for a US Customs Broker and International Freight Forwarder/Domestic Transportation Provider. Our business relates to Air, Ocean and Trucking shipments within the US and throughout the world. Resident in the Knoxville TN office, but regional travel is essential (excluding weekends).
Additional requirements:
- Explore new customer business opportunities
- Work closely with internal operational staff for quoting to prospects, maintaining accounts
- Understand John S. James Co. competition
- Update prospect and client cards within our internal AS400 system
What we need from you:
- Strong work ethic and motivation for achieving challenging sales goals
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
- Market knowledge of the industry
- Outstanding negotiation and communication skills
- Previous experience in industry is preferred, but not required
