POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for providing assistance to Area Department Supervisor in the general oversight and function of the general warehouse areas. Will ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, while also providing training to the general warehouse associates in all areas. The Lead will continue to perform general warehouse tasks as well as maintain the responsibility of achieving all operational goals.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
20% Assisting general warehouse associates in achieving daily operational goals by responding to questions regarding processes, procedures and trouble-shooting problem areas. Ensuring associates maintain or reach operational goals through use of system checks and visual observation.
20% Ensuring all associates operate in a safe and productive manner while following all company guidelines and safety procedures. Includes maintaining clean and organized area completely free from anything creating a safety issue or preventing operational goals being reached. Includes the safe operation of forklifts/pallet jacks.
20% Ensuring appropriate training is provided to general warehouse associates on new processes/procedures and proper execution of warehouse duties.
10% Partnering with Manager to provide feedback on general warehouse associates overall performance.
30% Continuing to perform general warehouse tasks as well as achieving all operational goals.

No direct responsibility for supervising others
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Additional Environmental Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Physical Requirements:
Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
Additional Qualifications:
Detailed knowledge of all warehouse roles and qualified in all aspects of warehouse operations
Licensed in forklift operation or willing to be certified for operation of lift equipment
Able to work a flexible schedule which may include weekends, evenings, holidays and overtime as required
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a leadership role
2+ years of general warehouse experience
1 year of lead/supervisory type warehouse experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and communication skills
PC skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Time management skills
