The Neonatal Mid-level Practitioner is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions according to standards of practice to newborn, term or sick infants during the neonatal period. This person will function as a member of an inpatient physician team within an integrated academic model. This position will support the Neonatal Transport Program. Two years experience in Level III neonatal intensive care required. New grad will be considered on an individual basis. Proven commitment to providing pediatric healthcare in an urban community-based setting. Bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish preferred. Requires Physician Assistant OR Advanced Practice Register Nurse. Requires Physician Assistant to obtain and maintain certification up hire and/or appointment or privilege approval. For PAs Certification, requires NCCPA certification time of appointment or privilege approval (allow one-year grace period for renewal if gap.) Requires APRNs to obtain and maintain certification upon hire and/or appointment or privilege approval. For APRNs, certification must be from one of the national organizations as required based on CT Children's Bylaws. NRP certification within 3 months of hire required.
