Position Summary : Driver will be responsible for driving park guests in large utility vehicles in off-road situations throughout the Safari premises. Team member will be responsible for learning scripted dialogue and relevant animal information and be able to present such information in an entertaining manner. Individuals are also responsible for the safety of guests and animals within the Safari tour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ability to safely operate a large utility vehicle in an off-road situation Present scripted information to help educate guests about animals and enrich their experience by demonstrating knowledge of the Six Flags product Learn, memorize and retain show scripts and animal facts of the Wild Safari Collection, which includes 52 species and more than 1000 animals. Speak on and off microphone to large number of guests regarding the animals and exhibits. Ensure each guest has a memorable experience by entertaining and educating each individual they come in contact with every day. Monitor exhibits closely to ensure safety of animals and guests. Use daily logs to check assigned vehicles for any abnormalities and report to supervisors Maintain clean and sanitary vehicles and work areas Answer all guests questions in a friendly manner and give appropriate guidance Adhere to all Six Flags and departmental policies Function as an integral team member of the department and park Ability to communicate via radio with other team members Qualifications: Individuals must be at least 21 years of age Recent or past experience driving large vehicles preferred. Posses a valid NJ driver license Possess a valid NJ CDL Class B license with Passenger Endorsement and no air brake restrictions Able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, write and understand the English language Physically able to board and exit large utility vehicles Stand or sit for long periods of time and in all weather conditions. (Vehicles do not have air conditioning, only fans) Able to react well in stressful situations or emergencies Safety conscious Public speaking or performance preferred Individuals must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays Individuals must be able to work outdoors and be exposed to all weather conditions for long periods of time Positive attitude and outgoing personality Be able to work as a team Adhere to all Six Flags policies including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code. Will be required to drive a vehicle, act on microphone and interact with guests throughout the off road experience. Physical Demands: May be required to stand, sit, kneel, bend and/or crouch for extended periods of time Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. May be regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold or heat Occasionally exposed to high and/or precarious places Noise level of the work environment is moderate May be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals (PPE will be supplied) Park: Six Flags Great AdventurePark: six flags great adventure
