A well-established mechanical contractor located near Lindenhurst, NY seeks an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. The A/R Specialist will be responsible for AIA billing, assisting with collections, etc.
The successful candidate will have prior A/R experience within either the mechanical and/or construction industry.
Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Collection calls and follow up on past due accounts
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with vendors and other contractors
- Data entry and maintaining spreadsheets
The successful candidate MUST possess the following skills/experience to be considered:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience with Accounts Receivable/Accounting in the general contracting and/or construction industry required
- Prior experience with AIA billing
- College degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred
- Experience with Viewpoint software a plus +
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
Hours: Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm
Competitive salary; commensurate with experience
