Human Resources Generalist

We are searching to add an HR Generalist to our Human Resources Department located in Las Vegas to be the liaison to the corporate headquarters. The ideal candidate will have a high level of professional and personal integrity with the emotional intelligence necessary to tactfully operate in a fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists in the administration of all company sponsored health benefits , providing application information; helping with form completion; verifying submission; notifying employees of approvals, 401(K), Workers’ Compensation, COBRA
  • Monitors unemployment claims by reviewing claims; substantiating documentation; requesting legal counsel review.
  • Maintains human resources records by recording new hires, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, merit increases; tracking vacation, sick, and personal time, leave of absence, long and short-term disability programs by advising employees of eligibility
  • Documents human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Accomplishes human resources department and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Is a backup for payroll processing.
  • Performs recruitment activities, interviews, and evaluates candidates for select positions.

  • The employee works effectively and relates well with others Including superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the Company.
  • The employee exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works, to maintain constructive working relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential.
  • Familiarity with state and federal employment laws and regulations required.
