The Carrier Order Management Project Manager is responsible for partnering on a project team to deliver on a variety of goals through all aspects of a carrier order’s lifecycle (Initiation, Creation, Execution, Monitoring & Control, and through to Closure). This includes process/workflow management, risk & issue management, project communication, scope management, and status reporting. The Project Manager will need to be able to work in a team environment successfully and efficiently while proactively communicating regular updates to external Carrier customers, project stakeholders and senior management; will need to regularly set expectations among these groups regarding scope, timeline and quality of deployment deliverables. The Carrier Order Management Project Manager must also demonstrate the ability to drive and coordinate a team of indirect reports.

The Carrier Order Management Project Manager will partner and manage vertical communication with multiple technical & non-technical teams to understand scope of work and enlist key contributors to develop & implement deployment plans in the timeframe established by Senior Leadership &/or the Carrier customers. The Carrier Order Management Project Manager should possess the aptitude to learn and communicate deployment deliverables associated with service request installations. The Project Manager will need to successfully partner with internal & external Project Management teams who work in both technical and non-technical departments to deliver and fulfill requests for service based on Commercial Customer requested timelines.


Key Responsibilities :

•Actively manages multiple projects consisting of numerous customer orders, driving the project teams through a formal workflow process to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
•Uses strong communication & leadership skills to create a culture of teamwork and demonstrates the value of teamwork through his/her actions. Effectively manages, without direct authority, project team members to meet goals and expectations while providing technical and analytical guidance to a project team to develop project plans which ensure the team meets all requirements.

•Successfully interacts with cross-functional teams that span multiple organizations to resolve issues utilizing communication protocols that are suitable for large organizational environments. Proactively identifies key risks & barriers to a project’s success and works with the project teams to define and manage activities which mitigate those risks & barriers.
•Establishes, owns, and leads project communication forums both vertically and horizontally across market, regional, and national teams.
•Works toward a continuous improvement of project management methods, templates, and tools partnering with leadership in the development and implementation of project management processes, operations and best practices.
•The Project Manager will be able to make decisions that offer the ability to either keep projects going or stop them if warranted.
•The Project Manager will be able to cohesively pull data together for presentation to a customer in a variety of formats including, but not limited to: weekly status reports, quarterly business reviews, and executive readouts on implementations.

•This position will support nationwide carrier initiatives with heavy focus on the Carolina region.

Qualifications/Skill Set :
•The Project Management role will have significant impact to the organization, both short and long term. Short term, the PM will be responsible for ensuring their project team completes work on time and that critical engineering projects are not delayed-resulting in the inability to meet business goals and improve service. Long term, the PM will ensure that short term problems do not result in long term impacts to our customer and/or construction and engineering.
•Formal training in Project management methodologies and practices strongly preferred.
•Expert in MS office skills required.
•Very Strong, data driven, analytical skills required.

•Very Strong verbal, written and presentation skills required.
•Experience managing projects for internal and external customers and developing effective customer relationships desired.

Education/Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent training, education and experience required.
•4 to 6 years related project management experience is required.

•Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Six Sigma certification desired

•5+ years of Telecom/Order Fulfillment/Service Delivery/Customer interaction experience in a large Enterprise environment preferred.
