JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Director of Recruiting is responsible to develop and implement a strategic talent acquisition strategy for the Spectrum Enterprise organization; a geographically distributed business with 2B plus in annual revenues. This crucial leadership position will lead a team of recruiters that attract top talent and create a positive candidate and hiring manager experience. The director will be keenly aware of the competitive landscape and be resourceful and connected with the ability to find the best talent in the marketplace. The director will partner with HR and key business leaders to ensure timely understanding of the current and future talent needs and related recruiting demands. In partnership with Legal, ensures compliance with EEO, FCC and AAP requirements. The Director will drive recruiting results, by implementing consistent sourcing, selection, and interviewing processes, while attracting top talent and creating a “best places” to work atmosphere.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:

• Leads the development of a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy.
• Partners with HR and key business leaders in developing sourcing plans and determining hiring requirements and resources needed to support the hiring needs of the organization.
• Collaborates with Corporate Recruiting Operations on key recruiting initiatives including integration of assessment tools & technology, employment branding/media, employee referral program, relocation, interview skills training, and processes to promote best practices and drive standardization.
• Evaluates recruiting efforts to continually improve processes and quality of talent brought into the organization.
• Partners with the VP of HR and Charter’s Corporate Talent & Executive Search organization in providing counsel to the senior business leaders on talent assessment, succession planning, diversity, and high-potential leadership development opportunities when filling key roles at the Sr. Director & above level.
• Creates and provides standardized reporting on the status of all talent acquisition activities.
• Oversees the development and implementation of a diversity strategy while ensuring a diverse slates of candidates for all Manager and Director-level positions.
• Provides leadership guidance and oversight on the internal and external selection process that includes sourcing strategies and campus hires, client communication, screening and presentation of candidates, and closing candidates, while ensuring a smooth on boarding process.
• Oversees compliance with all regulations that impact the hiring and selection process ensuring recruitment records and files, requisition files, applications, and evaluations meet corporate, state and federal regulation requirements (FCC, EEO, OFCCP).
• Understands the affirmative action goals for the organization and initiates programs that attract candidates which will meet those objectives.
• Designs and implements metrics for staffing operations to better align resources and analyze source of hire, determine ROI on initiatives and programs and determine areas of opportunity.

• Ensures a consistent, approved branding throughout recruiting campaigns.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, and suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Ability to analyze and interpret business data to build business cases
Strong communications skills, including public speaking
Ability to effectively delegate, develop and supervise team members
Solid professional demeanor and ability to manage situations in a constructive and positive manner
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Expert knowledge of recruitment trends and technologies
Expert knowledge of staffing and employment practices
Expert knowledge of social recruiting trends
Ability to work collaboratively with hiring managers at all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
Strong business planning and forecasting skills

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related or equivalent field
