Position Overview:
 Full-Time Cook position available. The Cook position is responsible for the preparation and cooking of all foods in accordance with specified recipes and procedures (includes activities such as washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing and panning in accordance with standard food prep practices). This position includes assurance that foods served to residents and guests are of high quality, meeting the standards of portion, food safety, freshness and presentation. The Cook position is responsible for maintaining the kitchen and storage areas in a neat and sanitary manner.

Requirements:
* Must have at least 2 years training or experience as a Cook or Prep Cook, and be knowledgeable of all areas of cooking.
* Must be knowledgeable in methods, materials and practices of volume food preparation, which meet sanitary guidelines and minimize waste.
* Must have strong leadership and communication skills.
* Must be able to handle competing demands in a flexible and positive manner, to seek support when needed, and to keep all parties informed of schedules and deadlines.
* Must have current CA Food Handler's Certification within 3 months of hire date.
* Must be able to read and understand the English language well enough to execute food orders, to comprehend and make inferences from written materials, and to understand chemical or cleaning product label instructions.
* Must have a positive attitude and be a great team player.
