Part-time Customer Shuttle Driver - Texas Hobby

Description

This position is responsible for providing transportation to auction customer and employees and other persons to/from the Auction, local hotels, airports and other locations, in compliance with Auction safety and driving rules, applicable DOT regulations and the rules of the road, and by demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs start-of-day check of vehicle. Immediately notifies Transportation Coordinator or Operations Manager of potential safety or condition problems.
• Picks up and delivers customers, employees and other persons to/from hotels, airports and other locations.
• Follows pre-designed routes and weekly schedules, coordinating with departmental leadership on changes as needed. 
• Performs daily routine maintenance on the shuttle van involving cleaning vehicle interior, checking fluids and air.
• Provides quality customer service to auction customers and employees by assisting with auction information, answering questions, and providing a high quality customer experience. 
• Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.  Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
• Good interpersonal skills required.
• Knowledge of local roadways, hotels, airports and restaurants a plus.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to lift 1-30 pounds (e.g., light hand tools, etc.).
• Manual dexterity; ability to perform repetitive motion tasks.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.
