Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the proper inventory control measures are in place at the forward DC's - including but not limited to: inbound prioritization, capacity, and discrepancy resolution; overseeing cycle count results as well as shrink, resolving store discrepancies with the DC's, ensuring 3PL's established goals and metrics are met to VZW satisfaction, and liaison between manufacturers and the DCs to resolve receiving discrepancies.  You will also be involved in supporting the pre-order/back order process.

Inventory Control Management:

  • Ensure daily system reconciliations are performed and VZW inventory systems accurately reflect on-hand and reserved inventory.

  • Resolve on-hand inventory issues identified by 3PL’s promptly.

  • Assist with inventory movement transactions both virtually within sites and physically to internal and external locations.

  • Provide daily inventory trouble ticket resolution within required timeframes.

  • Provide customer support through daily resolution of orders in fallout status due to inventory-related issues.

  • Conduct weekly cycle count / shrink result review with 3PL staff and provide monthly analysis of contractual ABC counting requirements.

  • Assist in periodic on-site audits of 3PL cycle count performance and processes.

  • Monitor a number of inventory-related KPI’s, promptly identify undesirable trends, and recommend solutions for areas of concern.

  • Implement improvements to current processes and corrective action plans with 3PL’s as needed.

  • Partner with IT teams as needed in ensuring system accuracy and timely inventory data transmission.

DC Receiving Management:

  • Ensure timely posting of product within contractual guidelines.

  • Resolve inbound product discrepancies with DC’s and OEMs (original equipment manufacturers)

  • Partner with the logistics vendor compliance team to reduce receiving discrepancies by developing corrective action plans along with the OEMs

Support Marketing Initiatives, Planning Activities and Special Projects:

  • Loading ship commit dates for out-of-stock product in collaboration with internal teams.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop distribution solutions to meet aggressive launch timelines.

  • Partner with internal SCM contacts in the coordination of special projects for unique marketing initiatives and product reservation requirements as needed.

  • Act as point of contact between the planning and device marketing teams and the DC with all receiving and inventory related issues. 

Qualifications

Must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Understanding of managing a product portfolio.

  • Two or more years work experience in Supply Chain.

  • Ability to work flexible hours and schedule.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • A Master’s degree. Event better if you have your MBA.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with internal and external teams.

  • Excellent forward thinking and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced and fast changing environment.

  • Strong problem solving skills and proven ability to implement process improvements. 

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with internal and external vendors.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large scale projects and handle multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.

  • Works well independently and with team members.

  • SAP experience.
