Electrical Industrial Mechanic – Shelby County - Full-time / Part-time

Immediate local opening with international industry leader! $24.10 starting wage (to $28.60 within 2 yrs.).

Requirements: You are an awesome candidate if you have the following:

• 3-5 years mechanical experience, including:
• Welding
• Equipment alignments & troubleshooting
• Reading of blueprints & mechanical drawings
• Heavy manufacturing or mining maint. experience highly preferred
• HS diploma/GED
• Completion of apprenticeship or technical program, or equivalent experience in industrial background
• Well-versed in installation and maintenance of all types of bearings
• Good knowledge of oil & grease seals, lubricants – and their applications
• Ability to perform shaft alignments, chain and sprocket installation & alignments
• Ability to work any shift, overtime, be on call or work 7 days/wk, incl. holidays
• Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks/projects, meet deadlines
• Computer skills including use of MS Office suite (SAP a plus)
• Comfortable with physical aspects of job:
• Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. as needed
• Ability to maneuver, kneel, crawl, bend – around, under, over equip.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 120 ft.; in confined spaces
• Proven record of dependability

Responsibilities:

• Will perform maintenance inspections, repairs and rebuilds on all plant operating equipment
• Help eliminate unplanned work stoppage and downtimes
• Detect potential problems via observation in the field, inspections
• Work with the following:
  • Pneumatics
  • Hydraulics
  • Crushing, screening & conveying equipment
  • Air compressors
  • Precision measuring tools (micrometers, dual indicators, etc.)
  • Acetylene torch & welding equipment
