Major Responsibilities
• Reviews monthly, quarterly, and annual sales & use, business license, property and other transactional tax filings.
• Reviews indirect tax payments • Analyzes and prepares monthly tax payable reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
• Reviews and analyzes process for determining taxability of invoices.
• Monitors process to maintain tax rates for all locations.
• Manage indirect tax audits for indirect tax types; including sales & use tax, business license tax, property tax and other transactional tax.
• Analyzes and responses to tax authority notices received.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with internal controls and company procedures.
• Prepares or assists in preparation of schedules to be provided to the external and internal auditors.
• Manage month-end closing process including preparation of tax related journal entries.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation on tax processes and evaluates opportunities for improvement and efficiencies across the tax function.
• Works with IT business counterparts to streamline processes and protects data integrity.
• Ensures compliance with state and local indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Performs tax research using RIA, CCH or other resources.
• Work on special in direct tax project .
• Assists management in internal audit policy and procedures.
• Supervise, lead, train and mentor staff.

• Ability to professionally communicate to all levels of the organization as well as external customers.

• Must be comfortable with and willing to proactively take responsibility and ownership of deadlines
• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects.

• Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.




Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Tax or Accounting from a 4-year college or university
• 6+ years of sales and use tax along with other indirect tax experience
• Strong technical and communications skills
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office with emphasis in Excel
• Experience working with Oracle desirable
