You will work within the Analytics organization supporting AAL Coordination of Benefits team.
Primary Responsibilities:


Data analyst role responsible for working in conjunction with business analysts to  develop, test and implement new production audit opportunities and trends

Create algorithms to data mine member, claims and COB data

Support SAS processes in a production environment

Diagnosis and solve problems with SAS processes

Focus on driving productivity and quality to aide business partners in achieving and exceeding monthly goals

Analyze a client's data files for quality, quantity, and accuracy

Use of SQL / SAS skills to identify data anomalies which may impact our processes

Perform proof of concept analyses

Develop, collect and analyze metrics and data to formulate fact - based decisions and proactively implement process improvements

Use metrics, excellent time management skills and leadership skills to ensure business objectives and goals are met

Developing and pioneering approaches to emerging industry trends

Contribute to large, complex projects to achieve key business objectives

Motivate and inspire other team members

Collaborate on application architecture design, enhancements, and decision-making

Organize and execute multiple re-occurring and one - off tasks and projects at one time

Troubleshooting and problem solving with an analytical mindset

Requirements


Required Qualifications:


3+ years of experience in Analytical role using SAS programming experience

2+ years of RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server

2+ years writing SQL queries against large datasets

2+ years running SAS in a UNIX environment and diagnosing SAS/Unix logs

1 year experience with SAS Macros

Understanding of the basic Unix commands, language, utilities and scripting

Experience assessing business requirements documents

Ability to maintain understanding of numerous client processes in a distributed environment

Proficient with Microsoft Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Process driven and detail oriented

Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills

Possess excellent time management and prioritization skills in order to meet

multiple deadlines; comfortable working in a high-paced / high production area

Self-driven, ability to work independently and facilitate change
Preferred Qualifications:


Experience automating SAS processes

Experience using FTP / SFTP software

Experience using version control software

Experience using Text Editor

Experience with healthcare member or claims data

Coordination of Benefits (COB) experience

Proven ability to handle large scale projects to successful outcomes

Naturally inquisitive about the causes behind data trends and patterns
