A nursing leadership opportunity is presently available in the Baltimore, MD metropolitan area for a Surgery Unit Administrative Manager. The city of Baltimore and its surrounding suburbs feature desirable communities to call home, access to arts and entertainment and proximity to the Atlantic Coastal region.

The Perioperative Operations Administrative Leader will join a 250+ bed hospital and multiple facility, regional healthcare provider within the Baltimore/ Washington DC market. The system includes a 450+ bed teaching hospital and is routinely regarded as a U.S. News and World Report nationally recognized facility! This facility has provided community healthcare for over 50 years and features a full spectrum of services.

The Operations Manager Surgical Services will report immediately to the RN Director Perioperative within this 10+ OR Unit and have the primary responsibility of leading the business and financial oversight of the department. The Administrative Operating Room Manager will prepare and monitor the annual budget, audit patient billing, and validate services performed within the Unit.

In addition to fiscal oversight, the Administrative OR Operations Manager will oversee department benchmarks, order and inventory department supplies and materials, and work with the Perioperative RN Manager to determine appropriate employee volumes and productivity measures. The Surgery Department Administrator will also assist in Joint Commission Preparedness, provide statistical data to Department RN Director and serve as a department ambassador for the health system.
