An amazing new opportunity has just opened up for a Certified Diabetes Educator right outside of New York City at two busy outpatient clinic practices affiliated with a prestigious hospital system.
The Diabetic Educator will work for three outpatient practices affiliated with a 600+ bed, acute care teaching hospital. This short term acute care hospital is partnered with an Ivy League medical school that brings the very best patient care to the community. This hospital is equipped with highly advanced medical equipment and technology, and has been leading the way in medical advancements for over 100 years. This medical center takes great pride in the quality of care that patients receive, and is constantly generating new quality initiatives to ensure patients receive top-notch care.
As the Diabetes Clinical Educator, you will be traveling to three different outpatient clinics located within the same NYC borough. The Diabetes Clinical Nurse Educator will work with patients and families to educate on living with diabetes, diet, exercise, medications, and diabetic emergencies. Leading weekly classes and a monthly support group meeting are also the responsibilities of the Diabetes Nurse Leader. The Nurse Educator is also responsible for all submissions to maintain the American Diabetes Association accreditation.
The Clinical Dietitian and Diabetes Educator should thrive in a fast pace environment that wants to work in a busy, rapidly growing practice.
