Acute Renal Failure Educator

A well established hospital health system in Southern California is seeking an Hemodialysis Nurse Educator to join their team. The Acute Care Educator will perform an appropriate physical examination, review relevant laboratory or radiological data to assess the patient's medical, physical, and psychological status.

The Masters prepared Nurse Educator will implement appropriate treatment plans including medication orders, the need of additional testing and provide community resources. The Renal Nurse Practitioner will counsel patients and their families regarding their treatment plan, including disease prevention and health promotion.

The Internal Medicine Physician Assistant will educate patients on the availability of culturally-sensitive health and resource information that is evidence-based, patient centered, and enables informed choice. The Acute Renal Educator will assume responsibility for maintaining clinical competence through participation in continuing education and other activities.

The Hemodialysis Nurse Educator will participate in quality assurance activities including the Peer Review process and would play a key role in the training of new employees, colleagues, and students. The Dialysis Educator will maintain a working knowledge of state regulations will comply with relevant (Federal, State, and/or Organizational) laws, rules, and policies; including licensure and certification.
