ER Emergency Room Director of Nursing

The Nurse Director of Emergency Services will become an integral member of the Emergency Department team, and will oversee the daily operations of the ER. With nearly 40,000 annual patient visits, this Emergency Room is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nurse Leader, with a demonstrated ability to manage and improve Emergency Room operations.

Reporting to the hospital’s Chief Operation Officer COO, the Nurse Director of Emergency Services will foster professional and productive working relationships with the Executive team. The Emergency Department Director of Nursing will have the ongoing support of an Emergency Room Nurse Manager. Together, The Emergency Room Leadership Team will encourage the entirety ER staff to deliver high-quality and patient centered care.

The Nursing Director of Emergency Services will evaluate the effectiveness of current policies and procedures in the ER, and will develop and implement any improvement procedures in order to maximize the efficiency of the Emergency Department. The ER Nurse Director will demonstrate their clinical expertise and will act as a professional resource for the entirety of the Emergency Services staff.

In all aspects of their work, the Emergency Room Director of Nursing will comply to the regulations set forth by the hospital, and will encourage all Emergency Services Nurses to do the same.
