JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the property Human Resources support staff, he/she focuses on delivering HR support services that meet or exceed the needs of the HR Business partners & hotel leaders. They will ensure successful product delivery and HR generalist reporting and support.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.

OR

• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/CANDIDATE PROFILE

Technical Expertise (Learning and Applying Personal Expertise)

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Report Construction, Management, and Analysis

•Works closely with the HR team, STAR Events & Communications and associated hotel leaders to support data collection for specific business requests ensuring accurate and complete requirements and thorough quality assurance to ensure data is validated prior to distribution.

•Uses financial data, data trends and market information to accurately support quality solutions to business issues

•Uses HR systems and tools (e.g., web applications, software, surveys) in accordance with company standards and policies as well as industry best practices.

•Identifies and implements ways to improve work processes and outputs.

Performance Development

•Collaborates to ensure departmental orientation processes are in place and STARS receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

•Assist in compilation of data for various property HR initiatives/programs (total compensation analyses, etc)

Administration

•Assist HR Senior leaders in planning agendas for departmental meetings.

•Ensures STAR files contain required employment paperwork, proper performance management and compensation documentation, and are properly maintained, and secured for the required length of time.

•Supports the maintenance of the Human Resource Information System in accordance with Human Resources Standard Operating Procedures.

•Assists Sr. Director of HR Operations in administration and coordination of interviewing process as applicable.

•Responsible for ensuring regularly scheduled communication regarding Human Resources processes and/or programs is distributed in timely fashion according to agreed up cycle

•Assists with postings and related transfers

Coordination & Communication

•Assist with logistics for HR meetings and other departmental information sessions.

Other

•Complete other projects as assigned, e.g. Wage scale planning tool, monthly wage increases
