Description

The Field Marketing Manager will define National Brand and Channel Strategy relative to DPS Pepsi Affiliated Sales Organization (PASO) with predominant focus on Dr Pepper, Crush and Schweppes trademark brands. This role touches on areas impacting Brand, Customer, and Channel growth metrics of Volume, Share and Profit. The person in this position will develop mutually beneficial DPS and customer (Bottler/ Retail Trade) program activations that maximize execution and volume potential. They will identify growth platforms, construct business propositions and commercialize retail activation.

This position is designed as a “developmental” sales support position with national Brand, regional Bottler and Retail customer accountability. The person in this role will have maximum exposure to interact with key internal DPS disciplines such as but not limited to Marketing, National Accounts, Shopper Insights and Category Management in order to design programs that impact long-term profitable volume.

Location:

The role is located in our corporate headquarters in Plano, TX

Travel:

Approximately 50% travel spent in the field working with the PASO Field/ Bottler/ Retail customers. The territory is comprised of the geographical boundaries of Texas, Missouri, South Carolina and Florida.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Align with Zone Vice President and Field Sales Teams to assist in selling customers on key PASO initiatives; Priority Brand execution, Flavor initiatives , Sparkling Water development though Packaging D&A(new/ LTO), Account Specific Programming, local programs(LMO/ OBMs) and Cold Drink placement(BTG) opportunities. Have direct accountability (Volume/ Budget) for trademark ‘Development Programs’.
  • Establish strong working relationships within DPS to secure departmental support against key PASO initiatives. This would include participation in innovation meetings, launch teams, promotion teams, special events and ad-hoc activities.
  • In conjunction with Customer and DPS resources (Field Sales/ Marketing), identify opportunities and develop market/account specific programming that supports overall corporate strategies and customer goals.
  • Proactively identify and shepherd new opportunities through syndicated data and industry research.
  • Provide field sales and key customers updates that interpret data/ provide assessment, identify opportunities, and initiate recommendations/ solutions for both existing and ‘developmental’ program markets.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in CPG Sales, Marketing, or related role
  • 3 years of experience in CPG Sales, Marketing, or related role
  • 3 years of experience using MS PowerPoint and Excel, to include PivotTables and vLookups
