This leader will have accountability for the Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE) that provides ownership and support across all aspect of the enterprise use of Salesforce. In this dynamic leadership role, you will provide leadership, guidance and accountability for standards, governance, technologies, solution delivery, and business capabilities & strategies associated with the use and implementation of the Salesforce solutions.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

Define, refine and govern consistent policy and processes relative to the overall use of Salesforce including security, data governance, licensing, compliance, and regulatory
Develop and own the strategic roadmap for the use of Salesforce across the enterprise
Own and Manage an enterprise wide portfolio activities underway relating to the use of Salesforce
Lead the creation a culture of partnership between internal and external partners related to salesforce activities
Provide leadership, mentoring and growth opportunities across the Salesforce community
Build, lead,  and manage a team of "experts" who are responsible for undertaking analysis and delivery for programs/products and ensure appropriate use of sales for capabilities and/or products
Lead, manage, and support delivery and implementation activities through all stages of the development lifecycle
Maintaining visibility on day-to-day activities with project teams AND ensuring sufficient face-time with key executive stakeholders
Evangelize and Educate the organization and other teams relevant to the use of salesforce within UHG
Co-ordinate with dedicated centralized Corporate functions in Finance, Legal, Product and Solutions Management, Professional Services, etc., to enable more effective use of Salesforce
Development of a Governance framework including dashboards, standards and metrics, and ensure collaboration and compliance with contractual and enterprise standards
Define, refine and report upon metrics and measures that track the CoE's performance and utilization of Salesforce within and across all UHG entities
Partner with technology management and delivery teams to create and leverage best practices to ensure overall success in delivery of new capabilities
Identify and partner with technology and business teams to develop reusable repository of tools, work objects, best practices, project delivery standards, thought leadership and frameworks for efficient execution of engagements which drive business value
Maintain and keep up to date in terms of Salesforce's business model, market and product roadmaps
Ensure current and future solutions are keep appraised and deliver with the future direction in mind
Work across the community of Salesforce Users and application to understand the overall landscape of sales force uses
Create a culture of collaboration and reuse
Be seen as and provide thought leadership across the enterprise relative to the Salesforce
Evaluates and develops  emerging concepts and champion new and innovative uses for the Salesforce platform
Ad hoc projects (including Continuous Improvement projects)
Business Acumen - Understanding of Marketing, Enrollment (Sales), and Customer Service processes and best practices in relation to how those map to CRM/Marketing Automation technology capabilities (configuration, customization, and out of box)
Team leadership - Ability to set vision to clearly guide team resources on long-term roadmap while maintaining service/support SLAs
Technically oriented - Quick learner with technical know-how to understand and support our complex well-integrated technology environment (i.e. CTI/Contact Center, ERP, LMS, etc.) requires a certain level of technical mindset
Solution/Program Delivery Forced - Able to direct, manage, and drive the successful delivery of implementation program
Innovative/Creative Problem Solver - Interest in innovating on current leading industry platforms and their related ecosystem is a must to be successful in this role; you must find solutions to complex problems in partnership with other IT and business colleagues
Collaborative (works with peers across many functionalities within the company)
Multi-tasking - Working with multiple business units and business/IT executives across multiple time zones requires ongoing prioritization, level-setting with business
High EQ - Ability to work across all levels of leadership in complex and highly stressful situations

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Operations
12+ years of progressive professional experience to include IT experience in a collaborative digital experience-focused environment
5+ years of experience with Salesforce technology (Sales cloud, Service Console, Communities, Partner Portal, Knowledge Management)
4+ years of managerial experience leading a team of 4+ FTEs
Experience with all phases of work required to implement Salesforce solutions
Understanding and experience in Agile delivery methods
Experience in directing and managing within a dynamic and challenging environment, working inclusively through people to achieve shared objectives
Salesforce Certified: i.e. Salesforce Admin Certification, Salesforce Developer Certification, Salesforce Architect Certified
Preferred Qualifications:

MBA
Prior experience in creating and managing a Center of Excellence - Salesforce or other
Direct and hands on experience in the implementation of Salesforce Solutions within a HealthCare environment (Patient Relationship Management, Population Health, Member/Patient contact center solutions, etc.)
Experience across Health Services and Healthcare technology solutions
