About this job
One of our Chicago based clients is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is open due to continued growth and expansion of the company. Candidate will be working on civil engineering projects such as parking lots for college campuses, stormwater development for Chicago Park district, and healthcare facilities development. Main Responsibilities
-Perform analysis, design and documentation of civil engineering projects involving interdisciplinary project teams, under general supervision
Perform site civil engineering evaluations and designs including:
- Site selection and feasibility studies based on engineering parameters
- Conceptual layout of site engineering systems
- Site grading and earthwork balancing
- Roads, streets, driveways, parking and other vehicular connections
- Site utility infrastructure including storm drains, sanitary sewers, water mains, utility duct banks and utility service coordination
- Design of pavement systems
Qualifications
MUST HAVE:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
-6-10 years related experience
-Completed FE exam
-Strong AutoCAD skills
-Basic Civil 3D knowledge
-Design experience on site development projects (ex. parking lots, grading, park district projects)
-Experience with stormwater modeling software (HydroCAD, XPSWMM, HEC, etc.)
-Ability to communicate effectively
-Ability to contribute to and participate in a team environment
NICE TO HAVE:
-PE License (or recently taken exam)
