Job Overview:
The Omni channel Inventory Specialist is responsible for driving sales for Big Ticket and Top of Table by processing special orders and ensuring timely deliveries in partnership with the Merchant NY team.
Essential Functions:
- Place and maintain special orders including updating and tracking purchase orders, ensuring compliance requirements are met with FTC, creating skus, updating pricing, assigning ship dates, confirming vendor receipts, and working with inventory planning team to enter and align purchase orders for stock order replenishment needs with container sizes used for shipment and placing floor sample orders
- Monitor and maintain purchase orders
- Manage vendor direct tables, manage discontinued product, and discontinued skus for Top of Table
- Monitor selling retail and follow reservation to completion for Top of Table
- Monitor purchase order inbound system and advises planning team of any shipping discrepancies, update purchase orders with correct arrival dates and adjusts availability dates, updates on order reporting allowing planning team to allocate open to buy dollars, provides distribution centers visibility into incoming merchandise
- Manage requests or inquiries from business partners and vendors
- Special projects as needed
- Develop self by participating in cross-training and/or professional development opportunities. Stay current on management best practices
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
• Work-related experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to identify and resolve issues and/or escalate where appropriate.
Other Skills:
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability and desire to learn various Macy's department store systems
