At Sunrise, our Business Office Manager is responsible for managing the community's business office functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:
- Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable collections of outstanding accounts
- Manages processes required to prepare and bill private pay and insurance methods of payment
- Maintain proper documentation on the community's financial transactions and residents' files
- Reconcile bank statements, asset and liability accounts
- Oversee cash receipts/deposits
- Maintain journal entries pertaining to month-end close per Sunrise and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
Qualifications:
- An Associate Degree with an emphasis in Business or Accounting is required
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting is preferred or
-Extensive experience (5 years) in the accounting field with exposure to accounting services within a senior housing and/or healthcare environment
- Experience and working knowledge of third party billing/Medicare and Medicaid preferred
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
