Our Network Intelligence team is part of OptumInsight's Network and Payment Innovation practice which works with clients to optimize health care delivery financing through modeling, forecasting and analysis.  We support the network development and managed care contracting efforts by providing custom analysis of proprietary and public available data.  The team has a range of expertise, including provider negotiations, financial analysis, payer reimbursement arrangements and claims data.  Our portfolio of clients includes several national and regional managed care plans and regional hospital systems.
 
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 

Analyze hospital financial data related to payer and provider financial performance and competitive landscape
Model data analysis based on findings to present a clear picture of overall performance
Work closely with team members to develop conclusions
Explain and interpret results to clients through formal presentations
Establish and maintain relationships with multiple market clients as primary point of contact
Develops innovative solutions using complex analysis
Support payer / provider contract negotiations
Participate in formal onsite training presentations
Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting
Identifies operational and process improvements
Organizes and prioritizes work to meet deadlines
Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
Serves as a resource to others

Required Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
2+ years of financial and/or accounting experience
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Communication skills
Strong organization and multitasking skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Self-driven, with ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
MBA or CPA
Healthcare experience
