Channel Sales Manager (Channel QBR)

Position Summary: 

This position is a direct report of the Director, Channel Sales. The role of the Channel Sales Manager is to assist in the achievement of established Colocation sales targets by using indirect sales channels to recruit new indirect partners, manager relationships, and build a strong and continuous pipeline.  A key function of this position will be utilizing relationships with data center focused partners to source Colocation-based opportunities.  The Channel Sales Manager will be expected to continue leveraging strong existing relationships as well as cultivating new ones. In addition to driving new opportunities to the Colocation sales force, the Channel Sales Manager is expected to help position The Company. to offer the most competitive and compelling solution for the customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a strong rapport with existing industry channels which includes, but is not limited to, partners, agents and brokers.  It is expected that these relationships will produce deal flow to the sales team that it would not have otherwise had the opportunity on which to compete. 
  • Develop new strategic relationships with other indirect channel sources to augment existing pipeline.  Sales Consultant will be responsible for familiarizing the new channel source with the Company’s product offering, key sales team members and sales process. 
  • Serve as a critical liaison between the direct team and the channel source resulting in an “ease of doing business” experience for the channel partner.
  • Look to establish new relationships with other industry enterprises to determine if an alliance or partnership can be formed to generate additional sales opportunities.
  • Assist direct sales team by gathering business intelligence within the marketplace to improve The Company’s position, not only on specific deals, but strategically within the industry as well.
  • Work cross functionally with a variety of business leaders throughout The Company.  Includes direct sales, Channel Sales team, Pricing and Offer Mgmt, Sales Engineering and Sales Operations. 

 

Required Qualifications:

•              Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or sales related area or the equivalent in training and experience 

•              5-10 years additional experience in sales or business development role within the data center industry.
