Residential Sales Rep - 8976 - Full-time

PRS represents the Company as an external selling agent of products and services by providing first contact with potential customers and coordinating the sales process through payment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

? Provides a description of diagnosed problems to the customer in terms that can be understood.

Knowledge of products you are presenting to the customer, with options to meet their needs

Calculates costs and provides a written estimate to customers when sewer repairs are necessary.

Educates customer in sewer replacement process and payment options to aid in their purchasing decisions for Company products and services.

Closes sales by preparing contracts, permits, and notification forms.

Coordinates payments and/or financing arrangements with customer.

Interfaces with American Home Shield and other warranty companies, as needed. Coordinates service needs with warranty representatives for authorization.

Coordinate with Customer Service Representatives regarding customer's repair needs and the scope of work to be done.

Coordinates with city, county inspectors and public works employees to verify information regarding installation requirements.

Prepare, communicate and obtain approval for change orders with the customer if the scope of the work changes

Basic knowledge of plumbing fixtures, (toilets, faucets, garbage disposals, urinals, water softeners, backflow preventers.)

Basic knowledge of water heaters and repair for, (electric, natural gas, propane gas, atmospheric vent, direct vent, power vent, tankless, heat pump/hybrid water heaters).

Basic knowledge of sewer & venting systems with the ability to read and understand blue prints.
Basic knowledge and operation of sewer and drain cleaning equipment and jetting machines.

Maintains and fuels vehicle and stocks truck with adequate parts, equipment, and sales materials

ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL SKILLS:

? Understand intermediate plumbing math and read commercial drawings.

Understand fundamentals of commercial drain cleanings.

Have a fundamental knowledge of fuel gas systems.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

A High School diploma, or GED, and 1-3 years related plumbing service experience is required. At least 6 months of sales experience within the technical service industry is also required. Related experience and/or advanced training or any equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Knowledge of plumbing codes, safety standards, Company services and good communications skills are required. Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office products. This job requires the ability to operate an in-pipe video camera in addition to other general plumbing equipment.
