JOB DESCRIPTION: Supervises the daily operations of the Campus Services Computer-aided Design (CAD) team, including developing the infrastructure, planning and execution of all CAD related projects. Develops a comprehensive document management strategy that allows for expedient and clear document retrieval including Building Information Models; Drawings (including but not limited to CAD); O&M Manuals; Equipment Specifications; as well as campus GIS and mapping information. This position has a dual reporting structure, working with the Director of IT Operations and the Director of Planning and Interior Design. In collaboration with leadership, develops strategic implementation and migration plans for software and hardware upgrades to support the department's objectives for IT/CAD development and space management. Serves as the first point of contact for coworkers and departmental liaisons regarding space data and Campus Services work management systems. Recommends process improvements for daily operating procedures. Coordinates and delivers training related to CAD, Document management and other software applications. Hires, supervises, and evaluates staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An associate's degree in architecture, construction management, engineering or related technical discipline required, and eight years of related work experience, two of which contain supervisory experience. A bachelor's degree is preferred. Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with design and construction industry drawing standards, nomenclature, filing standards, and drawing attributes. Proficient in AutoCAD 2014 or higher version, as well as Revit. Working knowledge or better with SketchUp and ESRI are preferred but not required.
