Position Summary: This position will support the Mayo Clinic Health System sites in Owatonna, Faribault and Kenyon and will assist with design and implementation of consistent nursing processes and practices across the corridor in alignment with regional initiatives.

This individual will partner with operations and physician leaders to collaboratively improve quality, safety, and patient satisfaction and to fully integrate the practices in this geographical area.

Responsibilities: The Director is accountable for the implementation of the vision, mission and values of Mayo Clinic and nursing services within defined areas of practice.

The individual is responsible for all inpatient and /or outpatient areas at a specific site or for service line across multiple sites. The scope of responsibility is with respect to leadership and management, planning and problem solving, quality assessment and continuous improvement, personnel management, systems, facilities, equipment and supplies management, financial management, and compliance with licensing/regulatory agency requirements.

The individual is responsible for strategic direction and leadership for clinical nursing activities to ensure the provision of essential quality services to meet the needs of those served within the practice. The Director assists in the development and implementation of system wide policies and procedures, and leading and/or participating in various improvement teams to accomplish objectives at the system and departmental levels.

The individual actively participates in appropriate decision making bodies.

The Director will maintain a safe and professional environment.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program.

Minimum of three to five years of healthcare management experience.

Maintains BLS (Basic Life Support) for Health Care Providers from one of the following programs:

1. American Heart Association

2. American Red Cross

Additional Qualifications: Master's degree in applicable field (nursing, business or healthcare administration) preferred.

Experience in the department's specialty (e.g., Emergency Room, Operating Room) preferred.

Five plus years in supervisory/management experience preferred.

Knowledge and experience with quality improvement and change management processes preferred.

License or Certification: Current Minnesota RN license.

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4119.20, based on a full-time position.
