About this job
Automation Personnel Services has an immediate need for Industrial Coating Polisher in Chattanooga, TN.
Skills Required:
Demonstrated experience managing personal productivity and quality to meet customer requirements
Experienced using micrometers and dial indicators for adherence to critical dimensional tolerances
Experienced with cylindrical parts using various setups including centers, steady rests, mandrels, etc. With high tolerance requirements.
High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
Ability to tape and mask parts contained in work instructions
Ability to blast parts following work instructions
Inspect machined surface finishes and diagnose problems with cylindrical parts used in industrial manufacturing processes
Knowledgeable of preparation and finishing steps before and after surface finishing (ie; hard chrome, tungsten carbide, plasma applied coatings, etc.) is a plus
Experience with total indicated run out across multiple surfaces of cylindrical industrial parts is a plus
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Personal Skills Required:
Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team and as an individual
Display the ability to focus on problems as opportunities
Computer skills necessary for data entry -- production and quality
Ability to work multiple shifts a plus
Education and Training:
Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED
Engineering or other technical certificate/degree a plus
Experience in a lean/5s environment preferred
Drug screen/background required.
Position is temp to hire.
Pay is $14-16.
Great benefits to all temporary employees.

Bonus Opportunity - We are also offering a $25 dollar referral bonus. Both employee and referral must stay on assignment for 30 days to receive payout.
