The student candidate will be supporting the company's Continuous Improvement activities. Specifically, the student will be working on Process Certification (ProCert) and UTC Production Part Approval Process (UPPAP) projects that will reduce variation and improve the quality of products and processes on the production floor. As part of this work, the student will be using Relentless Root Cause Analysis to determine the causes of defects and inefficiencies. There is a possibility of working on business process improvement projects as well. The student candidate will use tools and techniques from Six Sigma, Lean, etc.to analyze and solve problems. A background in Statistics is required and experience with Six Sigma is desirable. Programming experience is a plus. Qualifications -The student candidate should be familiar with and comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. In addition, experience using a Statistics app (for example, Minitab) is desirable. Finally, training in Statistical Process Control (SPC) or Six Sigma is desirable.
