Role and Responsibilities

PrideStaff is seeking a customer service / data entry individual with strong communication and problem solving skills for our client located in the Fox Chapel area. The customer service representative must be highly organized and also comfortable regularly working with computers. This customer service representative position is a first shift, temporary-to-hire opportunity that pays $11 an hour.

Customer service representative regular duties:
  • Processing of customer orders via fax, telephone, mail
  • Entering orders and verifying orders for accuracy
  • Processing all changes to orders as directed by management
  • Maintaining customer main file, making corrections, and updating current files
  • Cross-referencing company’s product numbers with customer’s product numbers, maintaining ship-to addresses, and reviewing files for credit and tax exempt status?
  • Assist customers on the phone with web orders, web, pricing and part identification
  • Check stock availability
  • Provide web demonstrations of the business
  • Daily filing of invoices and pulling files that are not in the system
  • Enter returns into the system
  • Help management with small projects
  • Sit at the switchboard to assist the receptionist three times per day
  • Direct phone calls to the appropriate person while working the switchboard
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Customer service representative will need to be a clear communicator; they will communicate regularly with several supportive operational departments
  • Must be able to assist in the problem-solving process to acquire and process customer orders and claims
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytic and computer skills to coordinate department assignments and cross functional activities
  • Well organized and adept at handling multiple assignments with critical deadlines
Computer Skills Requirements:
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel 2013
  • Acrobat Reader(editing PDF files)
  • Must have the ability to learn a company software database
  • Apple Mac is a plus
