PrideStaff is currently looking for an Accounting Manager.
About the Position: This role will support the leadership team; the person in this role will be a key communicator to senior and department managers, direct and support the accounting team, and execute the responsibilities of the position ethically and professionally.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position may require 10% travel.

Responsibilities Include:
- Supervise employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, and budgeting duties.
- Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting according to GAAP procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards.
- Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts.
- Examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
- Provide technical direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as cash flow and reserve levels, to ensure that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of accounting staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with accounting firm,bank, and insurance partners.
- Receive, record, and authorize requests for disbursements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Delegate authority for the receipt, disbursement, banking, protection, and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Eight -Ten years of hands-on accounting experience
