Job Title: Consultant, Jr. Account Manager -- Health & Productivity (Voluntary Benefits)
Summary: Responsible for the delivery of high quality, professional and accurate consulting services to clients with minimal direction. To have shared block-of-business responsibility for various VBIS clients/programs and serve as project manager for specific functional services or projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage implementation process of new services and voluntary benefits programs with new and existing clients to include:
Scheduling, hosting and documenting periodic calls with clients, vendors and Buck Consultants staff as needed to achieve implementation according to plan.
Development and execution of detailed annual project plan for each assigned client
Resolution of customer service inquiries and escalate as appropriate
Act as back up contact to primary Brokered Services relationship manager
Execute all stewardship strategies necessary to maintain client satisfaction with Buck
Support the maintenance as directed of the VBIS document library
Maintain in-depth knowledge of types of benefits products available in the marketplace, as well as vendor offerings
Accurately perform all necessary research required for VBIS Sales Process on timely basis
Prepare/coordinate any requested reports and letters with no direction other than peer review
Assist with special projects or assignments as instructed by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Bachelor's Degree and/or 5 year experience in account management and project management. Experience in employee benefits desired, but not required
2 to 4 years of total related experience
State Insurance Producer License or ability to obtain within 6 months
Desired but not mandatory: CVBS, CEBS, CLU,
Participation in professional organization(s) specific to business
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with people, both internally and externally
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Self-starter and good problem solver
Good listening skills
Demonstrates proven ability to perform assigned duties of job
Ability to work on a team
