Position Summary:
Perform day to day shop tasks as directed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure regular preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment in shop.
Assist with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs in manufacturing operations.
Assist with equipment and site improvements.
Build industrial control panels to specification.
Work with all departments to ensure each system is working at maximum output.
Work with all departments on installation of new equipment and improvements on existing equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment.
Skills/Requirements
Position Requirements:
Degree in Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Automation or 3 to 5 years' experience in a directly-related field.
Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Ability to lift up to 50-70lbs.
Ability to effectively use hand tools.
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Intermittent periods of bending, reaching, pulling, and stopping.
Ability to analyze situations and equipment.
Detail-oriented.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written.
Ability to work additional house as required.
Willingness to move up within Midwest Manufacturing.
Experience in the following a benefit:

* Mechanical troubleshooting and repair
* Hydraulic and pneumatic repair
* 3 phase AC and DC electrical testing
* Variable Frequency Drives and Motor Soft Starters
* PLC programming and schematic reading
* Welding and metal fabrication
