Weare currently expanding our injection molding operations and we now have 2Focus Factories: Containers and Syringes. This Maintenance Co-op position isa semester long program (may be extended depending on age of student) to engageand equip a high school student with the proper tools and knowledge for aspecific career in Manufacturing Maintenance. The position will be focused onknowledge and skill building activities including: General ManufacturingProcesses and Documentation, safety and quality rules, basic tooling andconcepts of water and air, tool removal, tool installation and otherresponsibilities/tasks as necessary. Theultimate goal of this program is to provide students with an introduction tobasic machine maintenance in hopes that they will advance their career in themaintenance or other technical field with Medtronic.

Co-Opswill work closely under the supervision of a skilled and trained professionalwho will be responsible for ensuring safety and quality during theirassignment. Co-ops will only be able toperform tasks independently after qualification is complete and they have performeda task multiple times.

* Assist with mold changes in a timely manner and ensure currentprocess is saved in memory.

* Report and document maintenance issues.

* May be required to pass certain qualifications throughout programto show progress in learning and development.

* Ability to meet 15 hour per week requirement (schedule to bedetermined). Must follow attendancerequirements set-forth for program.

* Classroom/computer training may be required as part of thisprogram. May be required to complete and pass certain modules duringassignment.

* Other duties as assigned under the supervision of a qualifiedtrainer.

Do you have thisexperience and these skills and qualifications?

* 0 - 1 years' experience

* Desire to create acareer in technical field or maintenance. Willing to attend courses to advance education and pursue a career with Medtronicupon completion of program

* Basic math skills

* Basic computer skills

* Must be mechanicallyinclined and have the ability to use basic hand tools

* Possess good hand-eyecoordination with manual dexterity

* Experience with auto ormachine repair, able to perform all necessary preventive maintenance onequipment

* Forklift license

* Adhere to companypolicies, Medtronic culture

* Teamwork-cooperative andrespectful of all employees/department

* Initiative -- self-motivated

* Goodcommunication/listening and interpersonal skills

* Ability to lift itemsranging from 1-35 pounds from floor to overhead, independently

* Ability to stand/walkfor up to 3 hours

* Ability to climb up anddown ladders

* Ability to push and pullitems
