RN, Surgical Services First Assistant - Full-time / Part-time

A career opportunity is now available for Perioperative Services Surgical Technician with an acute care hospital in beautiful Southwest Ohio. This facility is easily accessible from both Cincinnati and Dayton and is located in a quiet suburban community that features a historic downtown district and desirable neighborhoods.

The Surgical Services First Assist Registered Nurse will join a small, nearly 100-bed hospital with 75+ years care to its name in the region. The hospital features a 24-hour Emergency Department, Outpatient Laboratory, Intensive Care Unit and a Surgery Center that includes same-day services.

The RN First Assist will join a Surgical Unit that includes 5 ORs and several minor procedure and recovery rooms. The RNFA will report to Manager of the Operating Room and be tasked with assisting OR Physicians before and after surgical procedures. The CNOR will control bleeding, suture incisions and assist with procedural complications.

The First Assist Registered Nurse will answer questions from patients and their family members prior to procedures and assess patient condition in preparation of surgery. The Surgical Services RNFA will adhere to strict safety measures and may also be required to assist in patient life saving measures including CPR and blood pressure stabilization.
