  • Performs more complex tasks involved in interfacing all reporting systems/accounting transactions into the general ledger for respective functional areas (e.g. ACIS for revenue, A/R, cash, cost of sales and inventory, SAP for payroll, JD Edwards for all areas, etc.).
  • Highlights problem areas as they arise in the various systems and initiates corrective action with relevant departments.
  • Leads research work and interfaces with field personnel, financial analysts and/or management to communicate findings.
  • Participates in hiring, coaching, performance appraisal and disciplining of subordinate staff.
  • Ensures deadlines and performance standards are established and met. 
  • Primarily supervises 1 - 4 employees
  • Maintains and reviews more complex financial reconciliations to ensure that all financial transactions are properly accounted for.
  • Trains and assists less experienced accountants and accounting clerks.
  • Leads special projects, including the preparation of schedules for the outside auditors.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by manager.
Qualification:
  • Education or experience equivalent to a four year college degree is required.
  • At least five years related experience is required.
  • CPA candidate or designation required.
