Position summary:

The Supervisor will report directly to the Smart Card Operations Manager. They will be in charge of all production activities for the smart card department. All employees on the assigned shift/ area will report to the Production Supervisor. The supervisor will work closely with process engineering, quality, customer care and procurement for daily operational activities.

Essential Responsibilities

  1. In charge of production flow in ALL areas of manufacturing which includes staffing and work flow
  2. Continuous evaluation of employees, along with year-end review
  3. Production documentation
    • Updating existing
    • Creating new documentation as needed
    • Responsible for all employee adherences to stated documentation
  4. Analyze possible production issues.
  5. Understanding of all Quality processes and procedures
  6. Work with QC to find Root Cause Analysis for any job errors that may occur
  7. Gives work direction, instruction and training to production workers in ALL areas of production.
  8. Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards
  9. Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  10. Suggests changes in the work flow process and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
  11. Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to the Manufacturing Manager for action

Ancillary Responsibilities

  1.  Adhere to all CPI security requirements
  2.  Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Quality Management System Program
  3. Adhere to all requirements of the CPI Safety Program
  4. Must be able to work flexible hours as required  

Requirements -

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
