About this job

As the Executive Chef you operate with a strong passion for food, quality and service in partnership with the General Manager. As the Executive Chef you ensure that each and every dish that our guest’s experience is to standard and helps create a memorable experience.

As the Executive Chef you are accountable for all kitchen operations, ordering, receiving, and preparation. In addition, you responsible for ensuring RUI standards are met in the areas of kitchen execution, cleanliness, safety and sanitation. AS the Executive Chef you are responsible for implementing and monitoring all kitchen cost control programs, maintaining all accounting/administrative duties associated with the kitchen, including but not limited to work schedules, inventory and cost analysis reporting.

As the Executive Chef you responsible for developing and training your team in the kitchen. This includes training & development in the following areas: back-of-house security, kitchen organization, equipment repair and maintenance, waste control, and succession of kitchen positions

Requirements

Job Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* 3+ years of experience in high volume service restaurant
* Proficient in cost controls, purchasing and inventory
* Ability to show initiative; provides direction, and work with others as part of a coordinated team
* Strong supervisory, leadership, hands-on management and coaching skills
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop and mentor others
* Ability to communicate clearly, concisely on various levels including management, home office staff, and Guests
* Ability to manage resources
* Strong knowledge of food ordering, receiving, preparation, production and delivery skills
* Strong financial budgetary, and food control practices
* Valid food handler and liquor license card
* Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
* Ability to work effectively within a team
* Ability to arrive to work on time, ready to start a scheduled shift
* Has a basic knowledge of restaurant operations
* Displays a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude towards coworkers and management
* Demonstrates good time management skills
* Must be able to work a variety of scheduled shifts, based on the needs of the restaurant volume
* Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs occasionally
* Continuous standing and walking
* Frequent bending and overhead reaching
