POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Coordinator supports Marketing Managers and Directors of Marketing and eCommerce on cluster, market and hotel marketing communications projects. Key accountabilities are billing, reconciliation and project management support.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS




1) Project Management Support
    • Ensure marketing communications support regional, market, and hotel business objectives and goals
    • Ensure execution and fulfillment of projects as outlined on marketing communications plans
    • Help to manage and track all marketing programs, promotions, and direct mail for the transient and group markets
    • Coordinate estimates, projects, and final material closings of jobs
    • Ensure adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelines
    • Ensure marketing information provided to the properties is accurate, complete, timely, and enables hotels to meet or exceed guest expectations
    • Develop strong working relationships with outside vendors to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions
    • Upload images and maintain property digital assets and job files
    • Support stakeholder communications, including presentations, webcasts, developing meeting collateral, or maintaining distribution lists
    • Resolves guest issues that arise as a result of the marketing process and brings issues to the attention of regional and property leadership team as appropriate
    • Maintains individual project budgets

2) Billing and Reconciliation
  • Process invoices and track costs for jobs
  • Maintain all property actual expenditures to budget on a period by period basis

3) Additional Key Contributions
  • Support administrative duties and special projects or tasks as assigned


CANDIDATE PROFILE - KEY TALENTS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
REQUIRED:
  • Minimum 2 years agency experience with knowledge in areas of print and electronic design
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in travel or related service industry preferred
  • Capable of managing monthly financial reports with finance department
  • Able to read and interpret property budgets and spreadsheets
  • Strong working knowledge of key database systems and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar
  • Excellent technical and project management skills; ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interface fluidly with Directors of Marketing, Regional Team, Hotel Staff, Corporate Staff, and Vendors
  • Knowledge of photography, production, and print execution
  • Working knowledge of advertising agency procedures
  • Working knowledge of the components of an effective marketing plan
  • Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative
  • Able to effectively work independently or,at times, as part of a team


Education and Professional Certification:

  • College degree or equivalent in work experience in the industry
