About this job
Our client is looking for a purchasing person (college degree highly preferred) that has at least 2+ years of purchasing, will train in Oracle but would prefer someone to have SAP or Oracle. A Jr. person is fine, but needs to have some sort of experience in purchasing or sourcing. Would take someone with a year of experience in planning or scheduling that wanted to make a move to purchasing.
- Manage daily purchasing transactions, including purchase requisitions and purchase orders, for equipment production and non-production items.
- Prepare equipment bill of materials by obtaining quotes and uploading items into Oracle.
- Perform data analysis to help support supply chain strategies and initiatives.
- Manage supplier and inventory item information within our ERP system.
- Analyze procurement categories identifying product trends, spending patterns, and areas of performance improvements.
- Assist in the development of our supply base through assisting in supplier selection, monitoring supplier performance, and building supplier relationships.
