Job Title: Quality Manager
Job Location: Albuquerque, NM
Job Type: 6 month contract-to-hire
Job Description:
Aerotek has an opening for a Quality Manager to support a manufacturing company in the Albuquerque, NM area. The Quality Manager will be responsible for key quality metrics, managing the QA methodology, directing multiple QA personnel, doing root cause analysis and troubleshooting, along with interacting with external customers to resolve quality issues. This position will be in a manufacturing environment where PPE may be required.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation on quality excursions identified by internal resources or customers
- Lead project teams utilizing Design of Experiments and statistical analysis approach to validate root cause hypothesis
- Own key quality metrics to assess factory and quality health, reporting to plant manager
- Improve the current quality plan for the company's products including inspector training, metrology characterization, data collection plans and analysis
- Identify and recommend areas of opportunity for quality improvements
- Interface with customers and partners to identify and understand quality issues
Requirements:
- Engineering degree preferred (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Quality) but a Bachelor's degree or higher in technical field.
- 5+ years experience in quality system development
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing environment and ISO certification
- Strong background in lean manufacturing techniques, Six-Sigma and statistical process control
- Experience in statistical analysis software, JMP strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a strong team environment
