Assistant Nurse Manager Oncology - Full-time / Part-time

A well renowned Southern California research hospital is looking for an Oncology Infusion Nurse Manager.

The Oncology Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating 24 hour operations and will serve as a leader who utilizes their knowledge base to direct and supervise staff. The Infusion Nurse Manager will play a key role in all administrative processes for the department, supervises all aspects of personnel management to including adequate staffing per shift, quality improvement of care and educational development of the unit employee.

The Masters prepared Senior Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Director to develop, implement and document unit-wide procedures and standards for patient access to professional services, patient education and communication, medical record documentation, billing compliance and addressing specific issues relative to efficiency of the department operations.

The Infusion Nurse leader will foster patient satisfaction and develop metrics related to continuous quality improvement. The Manager provide necessary clinical oversight and management of all clinical programs including outpatient bone marrow transplant, chemo infusions, non-chemo infusions and blood transfusions, to ensure compliance, quality, and safety.

The Nurse Department Manager will maintain Joint Commission and other regulatory standards and participates in clinical nursing research and supports the hospital research activities. The Nurse Manager will also provide leadership to Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioners and non-physician personnel involved in patients on clinical trials or special projects.
